Growing Family, Growing House

The story of this house mirrors the story of our family. We moved into this two-bedroom, one-bathroom bungalow as a couple—no kids, no pets. We were aligned in wanting an older home with character, and this Craftsman had barely been touched in 50 years. There weren’t really any plans to remodel, but after a year we had our first kid and found out we had twins on the way, so we decided to remodel the kitchen and bathroom, both original, and then look for a bigger house.
